I recently had the privilege of participating in a 14-day (May-June 2025) road trip organized by Curbover, under the leadership of Manik Ahuja, and I can confidently say it was one of the most memorable journeys of my life. It was christened as Zanskar 2.0.
The expedition took us through some of the most breathtaking and challenging landscapes of Jispa, Shinkula Top, Changla, Gombok Ranjan, Padum, Leh, Hanle, Pangong Tso, Tso Moriri, and of-course Umling La, the highest motorable road in the world. Each destination offered a new dimension of adventure and beauty, making the journey truly extraordinary.
The trip was exceptionally well-conceived, meticulously crafted, and flawlessly executed. The itinerary was thoughtfully designed to balance exploration, comfort, and adventure. Whether it was accommodation, medical support, meal arrangements, or managing last-minute challenges, everything was handled with absolute precision and professionalism, undoubtedly a perfect 10/10.
Among the many highlights, the picnic at Penzilla Pass and Photoshoot at Drang-Drung Glacier stands out as a magical experience, blending natural beauty with camaraderie.
Reaching Umling La was another unforgettable milestone to reach World’s Highest Motorable Road. This experience cannot be explained in words; you need to live it in person and in real time. All this was possible only by the seamless coordination and leadership of the Curbover team.
I would like to extend special gratitude to Manik Ahuja, not just for his exceptional planning and execution, but also for his personal touch and thoughtfulness. He went above and beyond by making suitable arrangements for our dog, Cherry, something we deeply appreciate. This reflects the care and inclusiveness with which Curbover operates.
The media and logistics teams also deserve an applause for their remarkable work in capturing our journey and ensuring smooth operations throughout.
A big word of appreciation goes to Rohit, Akshay, and others who managed the convoys of 36 Jimnys and nearly 90 participants with calmness, efficiency, and expertise. Coordinating such a large group across challenging terrains is no small task, yet it was carried out brilliantly.
This trip is something I could never have envisioned or executed on my own. It became possible only because of the dedication, passion, and professionalism of the Curbover team. They created not just a road trip, but an experience of a lifetime.
I wholeheartedly thank Manik and the entire Curbover family for giving us memories we will cherish forever. I look forward to many more adventures with Curbover in the future.
